ChatWalk is the first p2p location based mobile chat application in Turkey which enables the mobile phone users meeting and chating new people with their numbers disguised. ChatWalk, which is the leading chat service in Turkey, integrates SMS, MMS, WAP, J2ME, WEB and IVR technologies.

SMS, MMS, WAP, J2ME and WEB platforms share a common Oracle DB Server and can work as fully integrated and also as separate modules. Windows 2000 Server is the current operating system of the platforms. However, these platforms are developed with J2EE technologies and can run independent from the type of operating system. Every platform contains a MySQL DB Server as a backup server in case of any failure caused by Oracle DB or communication problem with Oracle DB.  IVR platform is also integrated with other platforms but it has its own Oracle DB Server.

UCP and HTTP gateways, which are responsible for sending and receiving SMS messages, have 60 SMS/sec and 10 SMS/sec messaging speeds per connection.

This platform is being used for Chat-Walk Turkey, Chat-Walk Germany, ChatWalk Java Handset and Interactive TV applications.

Retromedya also developed the flirting service My Soulmate (Kısmetim) and Teletext Chat applications with unmatched 365 x 24 x 7 stability  for SMSTV Platform for Show TV_the leading national TV in Turkey. Censoring and optional moderation ensure highest content quality. Retromedya takes care of the connections to the mobile network operators, to the teletext system and to the call centre providing the censoring and moderation services.
